Whipped balm texture can change with temperature. A few simple storage habits help keep the jar clean and make the product easier to use.
Choose a cool, dry spot
Keep the jar away from direct sunlight, hot cars, and other sources of excess heat. Warm conditions may soften or melt a whipped balm. A change in texture does not by itself tell you whether a product is suitable to use: check its label and contact us if you notice an unexpected odor, appearance, or other concern.
Keep added water out
Close the lid after use. Use clean, dry fingertips or a clean cosmetic spatula rather than wet hands straight from the shower. Avoid leaving the open jar beside a splashing sink. Do not mix water or other skincare products into the container.
Plan for travel
A smaller container can be convenient when packing. Keep it upright and tightly closed, and avoid leaving your bag in a hot vehicle. Pack the jar separately from items that could be affected by a leak. Check travel restrictions for the size and format you carry.
Use the label as your guide
Different formulas can have different care instructions. Follow the packaging for your specific product, including any date or period-after-opening information. Do not assume every tallow or shea butter product has the same shelf life. If you are unsure, use our contact page rather than guessing from texture alone.
